||Catherine “Cat” D. Battista is a partner with Argento Law Group, P.C. She represents the victims of personal injury, medical malpractice, nursing home abuse and neglect and employment discrimination.
Ms. Battista began her legal career as an assistant state's attorney where she prosecuted thousands of criminal offenders in bench and jury trials. Ms. Battista left the state's attorney's office to pursue a career in private practice where she continued to achieve results for individuals in personal injury, nursing home abuse and neglect cases, medical malpractice lawsuits and other civil litigation matters. To date, Ms. Battista has obtained millions of dollars in judgments, verdicts and settlements on behalf of her clients.
Ms. Battista is recognized on the state and national level for her legal skill. She has been identified as one of the top 2.5% of young attorneys practicing in the State of Illinois for the past four consecutive years. In 2012, Ms. Battista was named by the National Trial Lawyers Association as one of the top 40 trial attorneys under the age of 40 in Illinois. She is a published author, frequent speaker at seminars, radio guest on nursing home rights and also wrote the Nobel Peace Prize nomination for a controversial Illinois political figure.
Ms. Battista graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2002 and received her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2005. She is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois, the Northern District of Illinois (Trial Bar) and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
